 Villarreal sign 36 Lion wonderkid Quadri Liameed on loan

Villarreal have completed the signing of Nigerian teenager Quadri Liameed on a one year loan from 36 Lion.

As reported by Futbalgalore.com.ng, an agreement has been reached between the two clubs which will see the 18-year-old spend the next one year in Spain.

Speaking about the move, the Nigeria U20 international told Futbalgalore.com.ng: “I am happy to be with Villarreal now. The club is known for relying on young players and making them better.

“I want to learn a lot at the club, play a lot and help the team to be successful. I hope that we will have many happy moments together.”

Primarily a deep-lying midfielder, the 18-year-old is physically not the most dominating of players. However, standing at 1.80m, he is taller than some central defenders.

The youngster doesn’t rely on his height, though, and instead bases his game around intelligence and technique.

In possession, Quadri is a subtle but penetrative influence from the base of midfield. He likes to drop deep between the centre-backs to act as a first receiver before turning and looking to play vertical passes through the opposition’s defensive block.

He is comfortable receiving the ball with his back to goal and doesn’t falter easily under pressure, showcasing composure beyond his years along with graceful ball control and an ability to resist pressure using his awareness of space and positioning.

Quadri stay deep at all times, however. He does enjoy venturing further forward when appropriate, settling in a higher space to support his team’s possession game as it progresses up the pitch.

He will hold back slightly, as opposed to making forward forays beyond the opposition’s defensive line.

Taking up more of a back-seat, quarter-back role, he will look to take the ball and scan the opposition’s structure in search of holes for through balls to be played.

Defensively, Quadri again makes use of brain rather than brawn to win out. He doesn’t dive into tackles, remaining calm even in dangerous one-on-one situations in which he finds himself up against an attacker without nearby support from defensive team-mates.

In a bid to ensure transparency and governance, Iconica Fc have obtained FIFA Transfer Matching System (TMS). 

It will be recalled that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) was the  first Member Association (MA) in Africa to implement the FIFA TMS Domestic Transfer Matching System (DTMS).

Propiertor of the Club Mr Ahmad Adiatu when asked what this means for the club he said: 
" The aim is to be able to meet FIFA's requirement when it comes to player transfer between clubs. It is the department that is designed for smoother, more transparent and international transfers of players between clubs quicker". 

Mr Ahmad who takes his players as family said the Football club asides from having a conducive environment  also boasts of good welfare package both on and off the field. 

"We develop them by having different types of training for different categories but at serene environment. We see to their respective needs both on and off the pitch. We do not treat them as players, we treat them as families". 

Iconica FC is indeed a club that posses passion, discipline, good management, consistency and drive.

Nelson Okeke signs for Sparta Prague

New generation football academy, Umuahia - Abia State product, Nelson Okeke signs for a professional contract with Sparta Prague of Czech Republic on a 4 years deal. 

He was raised by the famous Coach Uche Nwabuko of New generation football academy in Umuahia Abia state. 

The Special Kid was Scouted in 2018, in the 1st Edition of the  Right2Win Football 4 Hope Scouting Tournament hosted in Umuahia - Abia State.

 Former Heartland FC Brazilian Forward Ivo Jorge Santos on the verge of Joining NNL side Vandrezzer Football Club.

Santos had penned a two-year contract with the Heartland FC in 2018/2019. But after the season, many players, including the Brazilian, were laid off by a new management.

Razaq Adegbite Joins Hong Kong Premier League side Happy Valley FC


Razaq Adegbite in an interview disclosed his immediate target at his new Hong Kong team HVAA is to help them win trophies by scoring lots of goals.

“I signed a year’s deal, there is option for extension,” he disclosed.

“It’s good here and I love it."

“My target is to score lots of goals here to help my club win titles.” he said.

Adegbite has previously played for Rangers international, Enyimba, Kano Pillars, Sunshine Stars(all in Nigeria), 1st de Augusto, Desportivo de Huila (both in Angola), US Tatauine(Tunisia) and Dorgan Turk Birligi(Northern Cyprus).
